Guidance Departments

Thank you for recommending your students to the Alice and Murray Giddings Foundation Scholarship. These annual scholarships can represent a generous contribution to a deserving student’s college financial debt.  They are granted in recognition of a graduating senior’s overall personal achievement, with an emphasis on leadership, community service, and high academic standing. Applications are open December 1, annually. Each department must set and communicate their own application deadlines for students.
All applications must be submitted to the Foundation on or before March 1.

Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate application deadline for your students
  • Meet to review applications with your Nominating Committee
  • Select THREE students to move forward to be reviewed by the Giddings Foundation
  • Send all application materials by mail by March 1st
The Foundation will notify recipients and school guidance departments in mid-spring each year and host an Awards Reception in June.
